Hi, I’m Caroline
Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and now I’m living my dream as a digital and print designer in Chicago, a place where inspiration lies just outside my door. What started when I was a child as a passion for bright colors and patterns has continued to shape my aesthetic. I find myself drawn to vibrant and bold hues, and graphic shapes which are reflected in much of my work. At the same time, my work reflects the minimalism of Swiss design – the result of spending several months absorbing the easy beauty of the Alps or even a meal of warm, creamy raclette melted on fresh bread. Originally from Springfield, IL, I found my artistic voice mainly through photography. Growing up in Abraham Lincoln’s hometown presented an abundance of images to capture on film, and I soon started experimenting with other mediums. Now I continue to find inspiration in my fellow artists – those behind the lens, on the stage or even designing for the runway. Create visual identity for UIC Business, consistent with UIC brand standards, and support all units of the college in incorporating the college’s visual identity in all forms of communication. Act as primary liaison with graphic design/web design vendors engaged by the college. Assist with yearly budget including the research of latest online platforms and offer recommendations and need for various products/services. Manage day-to-day office operations. Organize and maintain digital file system of projects and folders on the shared drives. Interview, hire, orient, lead, mentor and evaluate staff to meet departmental and organizational needs. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
